Hi all!
It's been awhile...Sorry. Forgot the password, believe it or not. That's what happens when you don't blog regulary. We've even be reprimanded on our friends the Edwards' blog for not posting www.edwardsfam.blogspot.com. See their links on the right side. Well I just wanted to write a short note for the 5 of you who might actually still check out our blog.
In the last 5 months I've been working many hours on completing a Hidden Valley Ranch cookbooklet for work. It features recipes from chefs like Rick Bayless for kids. It was a great piece to work on and I gained an invaluable amount of experience. In the land of design it's a special piece because it was printed with a process called Hexachrome. In conventional printing 4 inks are combined, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black (CMYK). In Hexachrome Orange and Green inks are added. This process produces vivid images and are evident in the food photographs. It's a free book (the beauty of PR) so I invite you to go to this link and enter your address to get one. Time's running out I hear that they've distributed more than 1/2 of the 25,000 they printed. OH! I almost forgot the best part. This piece was so successful for the client that they ran it as a 32 page ad in the newsstand versions of Reader's Digest, Easy Home Cooking (distributed at Walmart), and Better Homes and Garden's Grilling Special Edition. So, check out your local newsstand and let me know if you see it. Plus we printed an additional 15,000 that will be distributed at 48 state fares this summer. There's also a possibility that they reprint another 10,000 for more on line distribution!
Check it out!

So I have to admit I'm tooting my own horn, but I don't have kids to write about on my blog, I only have my design babies like this. Plus it feels like part of my 15 mins of fame.
Take care, Camille
