20.1 Week Ultrasound

Last Friday we went for our 2nd ultrasound of Sweetpea.

This is the ultrasound that most parents find out the sex of the child, however we chose not to. So to say the least these photos are very selective. The technician had us look away when she took leg measurements so we didn't accidentally find out. The tech is the only person that knows the sex, if you're dieing to know her name is Katie, give her a call.

Sweetpea did great during the appointment. Just had a bit of a problem holding still for the lady to take his/her measurements. But once she got them everything looked good. All 4 chambers of the heart, all 10 fingers and toes, a stomach, bladder, and a cute little profile! We even got to see Sweetpea's mouth sucking.

All the measurements still put us at June 4th. The sad part is that this was our last ultrasound so we don't get to see Sweetpea again 'till his/her birthday.

Sweetpea's Perfect Profile
Face: this one is a bit scary looking since you can only see the skull shape. Just imagine pretty blue eyes looking back. :)

Spine: Sweet pea is curved down and the base of the skull is on the right in this picture.

Crossed legs: This one is a bit hard to see, but was a bit cuter in person. The legs were tucked up and so this is the legs crossed below the knees and the feet.

Our Newest Northwest Adventure - Baby Making!

As you already probably know we're expecting this June—June 4th to be exact. I'm finishing my 19th week and next week starts my 5th month.

Below are some of my baby belly growth photos and our best ultrasound photo. This Friday we have our second ultrasound so we will have that posted by this weekend as well.

Ultrasound Photo 12.1 weeks
We were in complete awe at this appointment. The heartbeat alone made me tear up. The baby is just over 2 inches long and weighs half an ounce. And of course photos only a parent can decipher...

12 weeks (Thanksgiving Day)
While it might not look it, I'm already starting to show, in a I need to often unbutton-my-pants kind-of-way.

14 weeks
the last photo of me in my normal jeans. The baby measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and Sweetpea weighs 1 1/2 ounces.

18 weeks
I've completely "popped". In fact, this week at work I finally got "you're pregnant!" exclamation at work. The lady had been wondering for awhile, but wasn't going to say something 'till she was sure. Head to rump, Sweetpea is about 5 1/2 inches long and weighs almost 7 ounces.

This week is week 19 and I attended my first prenatal yoga class. It was great and I can't wait to go again this Saturday. Afterwards, our Sweetpea was also invigorated and fluttered around all night.
