Photos from Family Visits

Great Auntie Thereza in the hospital.Great Auntie Liz, who was lucky enough to be in town the week Bradley decided to arrive.

Grandma Wanda arrived about a week after he was born. We enjoyed her helpful advice, yummy cooking. Bradley enjoyed her baby whispering.

After Grandma Aunt Corinne & Cousin Eric arrived. Eric loved his baby time and even complimented Bradley by saying he was as cute as his little sister Sarah. Aunt Corinne introduced him to a nuk, mobile, and swing. Bradley introduced her to cloth diapers.

Next up are Grandma and Grandpa Yocum!

These photos are some new ones of our little family.

Bradley Floyd Yocum

We're so excited to announce our Sweetpea has arrived!
Sunday May 24, 2009 3:17 pm
weighed 7lbs 14 oz
20 inches long

He came early, fast and beautiful.

He was 11 days early. I just finished working on Friay and expected at minimum a week to get some nesting and resting done. Bradley had other plans.

It all started unexpectedly at 3am on Sunday morning. We never would have thought the night before that we would become parents the very next day. We spent the morning sleeping on and off, doing laundry, cleaning the house, and packing our bag. By 12 pm, contractions were pretty severe and by 1pm we were on our way to the hospital - I checked in at 5 cm dilated. They showed us to our birthing suite and the pretty version of the story is that I went from 5 cm to 10 in about half an hour. 15 mins of pushing later he was born at 3:17 pm. Our Dr never made it there, in fact the Dr on the floor never made it there, the resident delivered him.

Now for the beautiful part:

Check out all that hair! We're really proud of it, since we were expecting a bald baby.

He has Daddy's long piano fingers.
